Winter Area Dressage Qualifier 5th November 2017

19 Area 10 teams competed at Blue Barn Equestrian yesterday for the Winter Novice Dressage Qualifier. Sevenoaks Riding Club fielded 4 teams!

Charlotte Payne on Calimero‐Farasohof Z won her arena on a stonking 71.04% as did Emma Whittington on Nemo with 68.33%. With Sarah Crockenden in 3rd, Ann Mills 4th and Georgie Siggers 5th the Individual Results were excellent.

The teams did well with Sevenoaks B team in 3rd (Emma Whittington, Ann Mills, Marni Bassi and Ann-Marie Upton) and Sevenoaks A in 5th (Charlotte Payne, Sarah Crockenden, Nicola Leroy and Jo Donaldson).

Well done all and thanks to all those who helped on the day as well as Jo Cocker and team for organising a super day.

The Sevenoaks Riding Club Annual Show on Sunday 10th September at the clubs training ground Redlands started on a bright and sunny morning. The weather continued to be kind with only a couple of showers.

By 10:30 all four rings were in full swing with the Show Jumping Arena being challenging as is usual. The turnout of all in the showing rings was impeccable everybody looked immaculate with the Working Hunter course riding well.

Much fun was had in the Horse and Hound and the Handy Pony competitions. The Gymkhana processed with determination despite the heaviest shower of the day. The first aiders had a very quiet day with all completing the day safely.

Successful Eventers challenge training day:

 SRC ran for the 3rd year, its Eventers Challenge Training Day on Sunday 20th August at their club field. A varied group of riders from a wide range of age, experience and confidence, enjoyed a relaxed and educational day practicing their Show jumping and Cross Country riding under instruction from Martine Weber. Lunch was provided by the Club and this allowed for the day to be friendly and sociable and riders were able to watch and support the other groups. At the end of the day the 15 riders were able to complete  the 'Eventers Challenge as a clear round competition and gain their rosette. These days are real confidence givers allowing  riders and horses to train over the jumps first. and of course great  fun  too!! ​​
