Felbridge, 8th July 2007

Sevenoaks Riding Club’s string of successes at Qualifiers for British Riding Clubs’ national championships continued this month with wins at the Area 10 show jumping competition at Felbridge.Jr Nov Ind, 3rd, 4th, 5th

Riding Hedera Hat, Laura Reeves, who won Equitation Jumping as a junior in the previous two years, graduated to a win in the senior section of the renamed Style Jumping, which is judged on the quality of riding over a show jumping course.

Her win, together with Jenny Mills (Greyfly), Jo Thomas (Kruja Roslyn), 3rd individually, and Sarah Crookenden (Teddy) equal 4th, helped the senior team to win with a 45 point margin.

For Intermediate Show Jumping, Laura Reeves and Jo Thomas were teamed with Sara Roberts (Hey Harry) and Clare Gayler (Aries). Just one time penalty separated them from the winning Ardingly team but Claire, producing three clear rounds, was the individual winner.

In third place, despite only having three riders, was another Sevenoaks team; Jo Donaldson (Ryan), Kelly Elton (Dancing Jack) and Jenny Mills (Irish Romance).

The Senior Novice team competition was won by Ardingly with two Bradbourne teams taking the next two places. Sevenoaks took sixth place with Jan Ames (Sparky), Sarah Crookenden (Teddy) and Anne Mills (Greyfly).

The Sevenoaks junior team, Emma Howard (Paddy), individual third, Vicky Lawrence (Louis), fourth, Alice Burgess (Cracker), fifth, and Rowan Cadney-Moon (La Gioa) easily won the Junior Novice Show Jumping; the only team with all riders double clear.

Rowan Cadney-Moon had withdrawn from the jump-off for individual placings, but was earlier fourth in Junior Style Jumping, in which the team came second, which was good enough to qualify them for the Championships in September, together with winners, Dartford.
