Area 10 Dressage Qualifier |
Risebridge Farm, Goudhurst 17th June |
Teams from Sevenoaks Riding Club had
outstanding results at the British Riding Clubs Area 10 Dressage Qualifier. Sevenoaks
riders ended the day with 53 team and individual rosettes.
Twenty clubs competed at Risebridge
Farm, Goudhurst, where Sevenoaks won three of the five qualifying team competitions for
British Riding Clubs Dressage Championships at Lincoln in September.
Nicola Bunch (Radscha), Alice Burgess
(Florida Sunshine) and Vicki Lawrence (Louis) were in two winning teams together with Alice
Somerset (Tyan Tullamore) in Junior Dressage, and with Jemima Willard (Pippa) in the
Junior Riding Test.
Sam Leggett (Paddy) and Emma Howard
(Boolah Bee) were the only contestants in Junior Pairs Dressage. Their high scoring
performance nevertheless left their trainer, Kris Mortimer, feeling very proud of
them.

The Senior Riding Test team, Maureen
McDonnell (Pedantic), Jenny Mills (Irish Romance), Sue Pinks (Black Jack) and Jo Thomas
(Kruja Roslyn) tied with Ardingly with three scores to count but came out on top when the
fourth Ardingly rider failed to appear.

Briony Bunch (Highjinx Jack) gained
an individual qualification in that class, as did Maureen McDonnell (Evidence) in the
Elementary Dressage to Music section.

placings, see the RESULTS section,
