Area Novice Indoor Show
Jumping Qualifier |
24th February 2007 |
Junior teams from Sevenoaks and
Bradbourne Riding Clubs took the top two places at the qualifying competition for the 2007
NAF Novice Indoor Show Jumping Championships.
The competition for novice horses
held at Duckhurst Farm, Staplehurst, was open to teams from British Riding Clubs Area 10,
which covers Kent, East Sussex and parts of Surrey. It was run over two rounds at 2ft 6in
and 2ft 9in for teams of three or four with three scores to count.
The Sevenoaks Junior team of Alice
Burgess (Cracker), Khia Cadney-Moon (What A Dazzler), Emma Howard (Paddy) and Vicky
Lawrence (Louis) took first place.
Bradbourne had only three Junior
riders but without the luxury of a dropped score Drew Davy (Merlin Himself), Madeleine
Kash (Mystique) and Anna Lhermette (McCoy) came second.
Both teams qualified for the
Championship at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire, in April, so we wish them the best of
luck.
Sevenoaks other Junior team,
Alice Burgess (Ludo), Rowan Cadney-Moon (La Gioa), Lilly Gilbert (Lenamore Coco Chanel)
and Suzannah Jeffery (Biscuit) came sixth.
In the afternoon Bradbourne Seniors,
Lynn Bright (Murphy), Carole Cook (Budding Annie), Janet Phillips (Silvern Conetta) and
Marisa Turner (Dannys Limmerick) came second to the qualifying team, Ardingly.
Sevenoaks Seniors, Jan Ames (Sparky),
Jo Donaldson (Ryan), Anne Mills (Grey Fly) and Sara Roberts (Campanile), were third.
Bradbournes other Senior team,
Ros Buckfield (Guinness), Jill Cufley (Naomi), Annie Etherington (Jazmine) and Gilly Roper
(Phils Rainbow) came sixth.
