Area Show Horse Trials, Borde Hill

13th June 2010

Sevenoaks Riding Club’s junior riders continued their winning streak at the Area 10 Horse Trials at Borde Hill in Sussex.

Jr Novice Alice McCready, Alice Somerset, Ellie Duggan & Hannah Stevens

Alice McCready (Reckless Ruby), Alice Somerset (Golden Island Star), Ellie Duggan (Carnsdale Hero) and Hannah Stevens (Magical Murphy) took the top four individual places to win the Junior Novice team section in stunning style. Ellie Wilson (Malone’s Mate) was sixth. The team will go on to the British Riding Clubs’ Horse Trials Championship at Aston-le-Walls in August.

In the Junior Intermediate section, Jessica Sneddon (Poly Ruler) was third and qualified for the Championship as the highest placed individual not in the winning team. Emma Howard (Hugo) was fourth and Lizzie McCready (Castle Clover) sixth. With Rohan Cadney-Moon (Hallmark), they took second place as a team; all four riders having clear show jumping and cross-country jumping rounds
