Dressage, Show Jumping & Combined Training

New members of Sevenoaks Riding Club found themselves in the top places in several classes at the Udimore Farm Tack Store sponsored dressage, show jumping and combined training show at Redlands. 

Lindsey Mitchell riding Shaken But Not Stirred, won both the Very Novice and Novice jumping classes and Clare Scott won the two-phase Intermediate jumping and the Intermediate Scurry on Milly.

Ellie Duggan, a new junior member, won Preliminary dressage test 7 riding the impressive grey, Hero, and was so far ahead of the rest that she also won the Preliminary combined training section, despite four penalties for a fence down in the jumping phase.

Another junior member, twelve year old Lucie Trapp, won the Walk and Trot Dressage class with Toffee. 

Sarah Grimshaw, who graduated to senior status this year, won the Novice Scurry, came fourth in the Intermediate Scurry and finally won the Open jumping with the only double clear on her Haflinger pony, Hans. 

 Preliminary dressage test 12 was won by Eleanor Comer on Glynn Antrim, a horse she has owned for fourteen years.

Horse trials test HN1 was won by Voirrey Mitchell on Popeye. In second place was Anna Lawrence riding Dibley, whose good test helped him win the Novice combined training.

Maureen McDonnell took equal first place with her two horses, Evidence and Sturtwood, in the Novice 25 test and first and second in the final class of the day, Elementary 42.
