What a fabulous day we had at Redlands for the Hunter Trial Training Day. Even the weather didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit! Thank you to Martine for creating a fabulous course.

Rosie Sharpe competed in the postponed 2020 competition at both novice and intermediate, on Roy the Rascal. She came 19th in the novice and 11th in the intermediate.
We helped make up an Area10 junior novice team for the 2021 championship, which came 15th. Our contributing members were Megan Sheridan and Harry Scott who came 2nd and 10 respectively. Abi Scott was junior national champion in the 2021 Medium on Carmanaint Rambler. She also won the elementary on the same horse with a second on Red Rendezvous on whom she was given a wild card. And the prelim in Dorlyn Chancellor. In the seniors, Annne Mills came 3rd and 21st on Zachie which Were novice and elementary. Please find the times for Sunday below. Please remember to stick to covid guidelines, only one groom per rider and please keep a 2m distance. This is a formal event so please plait for the dressage.
We have decided to change the date for the Annual Show to the 27th June. We are hoping that moving the show towards the end of June will ensure that spectators will be able to attend the competition and provide support to competitors.
We would like to thank Hilden Feeds for being the title sponsor of the Sevenoaks Rdiding Club Annual Show. Hilden Feeds are based in Coldharbour Lane in Tonbridge and offer a wide range of animal feed, bedding and accessories. The Annual Show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead from Thursday 16th – Saturday 18th September 2021. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Showjumping & showing. Qualification: 1st – 4th place. Qualification does not pass down the line. BRC have refunded 3 months of the 2020 membership and therefore we would like to ask any previous members that are looking to join again in 2021 to deduct £4 from the price stated on the form. If you have already paid your membership we will be in contact. The Novice Winter Dressage will take place on November 29th at Petley Wood.
The tests are P2, P7, N24 and N27. Please could you let me know by November 1st which class you would like to do. Please ensure that both you and your horse are eligible, under Riding Club rules, to do the test you choose. Please also ensure that your vaccination certificate is up to date with the 6 month rule. Please check the BRC Rulebook, available online, if you have any doubts about either your vaccination or eligibility. I’m really hoping many of us will represent Sevenoaks at this event. There will be an Intermediate qualifier at a later date but I do not yet have details. Simon Laurens will be coming to Redlands for an extra day in November which will be the Sunday before on the 22nd. This will be an ideal opportunity to run through your test and get some tips! The senior 70cm team of Julia McMenemy, Sally Pugmire & Emma Davie came 2nd 🥈 Katie Clyne came 3rd in the junior 80cm, Anne Mills came 6th in the senior 80cm. Charlotte Payne came 3rd individually in the 90cm senior. Harry Scott came 2nd in the junior 90cm to qualifier and Evie Kerry came 5th with a fantastic round. The 100m team (pictured below) won and have qualified for the championship with some fantastic individual results - Abi Scott 1st, Harry Scott 4th and Kat Stell 5th.
