1. The decisions of the Judges are final.
2. The Committee and the Organisers reserve the right to: cancel any
class or event; divide or amalgamate any classes; alter start times; limit the entries;
refuse any entry, with or without stating the reason.
3. No claim can be entertained for anything that might happen to
competitors, onlookers, their property, servants or horses in connection with, or arising
out of, the event. It shall be a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to
indemnify the organisers against any legal action arising out of any accident or incident.
4. Any objection must be made in writing to the secretary within 30
minutes of the incident and be accompanied by a £15.00 deposit, returned if the objection
is sustained.
5. Entry fees: entry forms must be completed correctly and fees must
be paid at the time of entry; entry fees will only be refunded up until the close of
entries; in the event of cancellation of any class £1.50 cancellation fee will be
retained per class.
6. No horse/pony under the age of 4 years may enter competitions
(except in -hand classes).
7. Competitors must declare to the steward within 15 minutes of the
starting time of the class or 15 minutes before their starting time.
8. Anyone riding or behaving in an irresponsible manner will be
asked to leave the showground.
9. Practice jumps are to be jumped in one direction only. The
red flag or support must always be passed on the rider's right hand side and the white
flag or support on the left.
10. All dogs must be kept on leads. Any
competitor/owner/spectator failing to do so may be asked to leave the showground.
11. All classes will be run under Riding Club Rules unless
otherwise stated in the schedule.
12. Stallion discs must be displayed on each side of a stallion's
head at all times.
13. Any person responsible for an animal, which is considered by the
organiser to be not under proper control, may be asked to remove it from the Showground.
Under riding Club Rules:
HATS: The minimum standard hat allowed is BSEN
1384 but the recommended standard is the superior PAS015.
HUNTER TRIALS AND HORSE TRIALS: A body protector
BETA Standard 3 is compulsory. Watches capable of being stopped, started and
recording elapsed times are forbidden. Medical armbands are compulsory. Four
refusals on the whole course will incur elimination.
SHOW JUMPING: Elimination is on the third refusal.
Hair may be in a net or, if not, the hair must not hang lower than the shoulder line.
A Body Protector is recommended. In Horse Trials Show Jumping 35 penalties will
incur elimination. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO WATER AT REDLANDS.
Vaccination Certificates:
Any member competing on behalf of the Club will need to familiarise
themselves with the current Riding Club Rules. One of these concerns Equine
Influenza requirements. Your horse must be vaccinated and you are required to take
the certificate with you to all Area and National Competitions. The certificate must
undeniably relate to that horse i.e. the identification section must be completed! Please
note that the certificate must show all the Primary Vaccinations as well as the first and
annual boosters. If you have the new Horse Passport check that all the horse's
vaccinations are entered; it may be necessary to take your original Flu. Certificate as
well. When in doubt phone the Chef d'Equipe.
